Fuel Subsidy Payout for Munti Tryc Drivers
By Lane Afable
The first day of a three-day payout of cash relief assistance or fuel subsidy for tricycle drivers in Muntinlupa City was launched today, March 17, 2026.
The two upcoming payout schedules are set on March 23 and 24, 2026.
City Mayor Rufino Biazon reported that the activity is aimed to timely extend support to city tricycle drivers amidst the hard impacts of increasing oil prices caused by conflict in the Middle East.
Beneficiaries are advised to coordinate with their respective Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) presidents for the official list and payout schedule.
According to Biazon, the list of recipients was certified by each TODA, counter-checked by the city’s Tricycle Regulatory Unit, and validated and approved by the Department of Social Welfare and Development to prevent duplication with similar payouts in other areas.
The subsidy distribution will be carried out by the Department of Social Welfare and Development with assistance from the Muntinlupa Social Services Department and the Muntinlupa Traffic Management Bureau, in coordination with the city’s transport regulatory unit.
The City Mayor exhorted beneficiaries to arrive only on their assigned date and time to ensure an orderly distribution of assistance, while further announcements are expected for other transport sectors that may also receive support.
