A HUB for legal services, court proceedings, and other justice-related functions will erected in Sta. Cruz, the capital town of the Province of Laguna.
Laguna Governor Sol Aragones announced that the justice facility dubbed as Katarungan Center will provide residents of Santa Cruz and nearby towns with faster and more accessible access to justice services.
Aragones underscored the significance of the project, noting that the province had long awaited the allocation of land in Santa Cruz for a justice facility that would serve residents of Laguna.
She also emphasized that the project is a by-product of inclusive leadership through fully listening to the concerns of constituents to ensure that her administration is responsive to the needs of the community.
Recently, the Province of Laguna secured a property as site for the construction of Katarungan Center through the ceremonial signing of a Deed of Usufruct witnessed by Aragones, Justice Secretary Fredderick Vida, and Laguna Vice Governor JM Carait, along with local officials and community leaders.
Vida, in a statement, stressed the importance of improving access to justice, saying every Filipino who approaches government offices is seeking fairness and accountability.
Carait, for his part, expressed his reaffirmed support for the initiative, emphasizing the collaboration between national and local government units in strengthening justice services in the province.
