BI, NBI, arrest ‘Alice Guo’ of the Metro

Bureau of Immigration (BI) operatives, together with National Bureau of Immigration (NBI) agents arrested a Chinese woman believed to be misrepresenting herself as a Filipino, similar to the case of former Bamban Mayor Alice Guo.

The arrest is in line with President Ferdinand ‘Bong Bong’ Marcos Jr.’s directive to locate and deport foreign nationals who blatantly violate immigration laws.

Arrested last July 13 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 was Wang Xiujun, 43, who is said to have been using the alias Cassia Palma Poliquit.

BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado ordered the monitoring of her travels and her arrest after the bureau received information from the NBI regarding Wang’s suspicious identity.

NBI dactyloscopy cross examination of records revealed that Poliquit had the exact same fingerprint records as Wang, confirming that they are indeed the same person.

Wang arrived on board an Air Asia flight to Manila from Kuala Lumpur, and was immediately arrested by BI border control and intelligence unit (BCIU) officers.

She was immediately booked and placed in the BI warden’s facility, pending deportation proceedings.

Wang is considered to be the ‘Alice Guo’ of the Metro, after the BI received intelligence information on her involvement in businesses selling and distributing electric vehicles in Metro Manila–all while using a fraudulently-acquired Filipino identity.

She is said to have a Philippine passport and a birth certificate which was acquired via late registration despite being a Chinese national holding an investor’s visa.

Viado thanked NBI operatives for their swift action and coordination that led to arrest of the subject.

“The BI and the NBI have been strongly working together, leading to the arrest of key figures in identity theft and illegal use of Philippine documents,” said Viado. “We commend our partners in law enforcement, and vow to further work together to rid the country of these undesirables,” he added.
