Caloocan City conduct free medical treatment

Over 2,100 residents of the City of Caloocan availed of the free medical services provided by the two city hospitals, Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC) and Caloocan City North Medical Center (CCNMC), and the City Health Department (CHD) as part of the activities to celebrate the 64th Cityhood Anniversary.

CCMC and CCNMC held their weeklong initiatives on February 9 to February 13, and February 16 to 20, respectively, while the CHD conducted its own One-Stop Shop Community-Based Health Services at local health centers in both Caloocan City – North and South. Various medical and health services were provided, including free x-ray and breast ultrasound, dental and ophthalmology services, and even free electromagnetic cardiogram (ECG) and bone scans.

City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan thanked both city hospitals and the CHD for adhering to the administration’s priority on healthcare and expressed the city government’s continuing commitment to make medical programs even more accessible to the public.

Public health services including pre-natal care, youth immunization, and medical and dental consultations remain free and accessible at the city’s community health centers.
