Mayon Volcano remains Alert Level 2

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has extended the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) covering flights in the vicinity of Mayon Volcano, with vertical limits from the surface up to 11,000 feet.

NOTAM B0041/26 is valid from 04 January 2026, 8:01 a.m. until 05 January 2026, 9:00 a.m.

Flight operators are advised to avoid flying close to Mayon Volcano, which remains under Alert Level 2. Pilots are strongly cautioned against operations near the volcano, as volcanic ash from possible sudden phreatic eruptions poses a serious hazard to aircraft safety.

CAAP continues to closely coordinate with relevant government agencies and reminds all air operators to strictly comply with all issued NOTAMs.
