Philippine Airlines (PAL) has been named Asia-Pacific’s most on-time airline for 2025, achieving an on-time arrival performance of 83.12%, the highest in the region. The ranking is based on independently verified data from global aviation analytics firm Cirium.
PAL’s performance distinguished the flag carrier for its consistency in one of the world’s most operationally demanding aviation environments, where airlines routinely contend with weather disruptions, air traffic congestion, and constrained airport infrastructure.
Now in its 17th year, Cirium’s On-Time Performance program is widely regarded as the industry benchmark for airline reliability, tracking millions of flights worldwide using transparent and objective methodologies.
Philippine Airlines emphasized that punctuality remains a core commitment to its passengers, made possible through close coordination across flight operations, engineering, airport services, ground handling, and all customer-facing and corporate support teams.
“This achievement reflects the discipline, professionalism, and teamwork of our entire organization, particularly our frontline teams who operate our flights safely and reliably every day,” said Lucio C. Tan III, President and Chief Operating Officer of PAL Holdings, Inc. “It also reflects what can be achieved through strong collaboration with our private sector partners, including MacroAsia Corporation, Lufthansa Technik Philippines, New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation, Aboitiz InfraCapital Inc., and LIPAD Corp, as well as the continued support of our government partners.”
The recognition comes as Asia-Pacific carriers continue to navigate capacity pressures and complex operational challenges. Philippine Airlines remains focused on sustaining exceptional operational performance and further strengthening reliability, as part of its vision to become a globally-recognized airline delivering world-class service with care that comes from the heart
