Silang, Cavite Ranks No. 12 in Governance

The town of Silang, Cavite was named in the top list of 16 1st and 2nd Class municipalities in the country.

The Department of Trade and Industry  (DTI), ranked Silang, Cavite as No. 12  in  top 16 towns (1st and 2nd Class) in the Philippines with high sum of scores in each of the five pillars of governance.

The DTI based its scores for 16 top towns on performance in 1) Economic Dynamism, 2) Government Efficiency, 3) Infrastructure, 4) Resiliency, and, 5) Innovation.

The honoree towns are: 1. Cainta, Rizal (first); 2. Taytay, Rizal (2nd); 3. Claver, Surigao del Norte (3rd); 4. Kabacan, Cotabato (4th); 5. San Mateo, Rizal (5th); 6. Pantukan, Davao de Oro (6th); 7. Angono, Rizal (7th); 8. Binangonan, Rizal (8th); 9. Midsayap, Cotabato (9th); 10. Isulan, Sultan Kudarat (10th); 11. Marilao, Bulacan 11th); 12. Silang, Cavite (12th); 13. Tumauini, Isabela (13th); 14. Tanza, Cavite (14th); 15. Kalibo, Aklan (15th); and, 16. Malungon, Sarangani (16th).

Silang Mayor Ted Carranza, welcomed the recognition saying that his devout efforts to institute good governance with the full support of Silanguenos set new progressive directions for his town.

“Sa patuloy na pagsusumikap na palakasin ang ekonomiya, pagandahin and serbisyo publiko, at magpatupad ng mga proyektong makikinabang ang lahat, lalong napatunayan na kayang makipagsabayan ang Silang sa pinakamahusay na mga bayan sa bansa.

“Para sa mga Silangueno, ang ranking na ito ay hindi lamang numero. Ito ay simbolo ng pagkakaisa, maayos na pamamahala, at pag-unlad ng ating mahal na bayan.

“Silangueno, ipagmalaki natin. Top 12 ang Silang, Cavite,” said Mayor Carranza.
