The Bureau of Immigration (BI) yesterday announced the arrest of a U.S. fugitive wanted for serious criminal offenses in his home country.
Arrested was Kenneth Alan White, 44, who was apprehended in a residential area in Danao City, Cebu by operatives of the BI Fugitive Search Unit (FSU).
The operation was carried out in coordination with US authorities, Philippine National Police units, and local law enforcement authorities.
White is said to be wanted in Texas for charges including threatening to publish intimate visual material and attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He also has a prior conviction for felony aggravated assault in Arizona.
BI records show that White entered the Philippines in March 2025 as a temporary visitor but failed to extend his stay beyond June 2025, rendering him an overstaying alien.
He has likewise been flagged as an undesirable foreign national.
BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado emphasized the Bureau’s intensified campaign against foreign offenders:
“This arrest highlights our firm stance: the Philippines is not a hiding place for fugitives with violent pasts.
We will continue to work hand in hand with our international counterparts to track them down and remove them swiftly.
Those who attempt to evade justice by crossing borders will find that our enforcement is both proactive and unrelenting,” Viado said.
White is currently under police custody in Danao City and will be transferred to the BI Warden Facility in Manila for the filing of deportation charges.
