President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday inspected the Pampanga Provincial Hospital-Clark (PPHC), the first-ever public hospital in Clark Freeport Zone, which aims to provide accessible healthcare services for people in Pampanga and nearby provinces.

The PPHC is a state-of-the-art three-story government healthcare facility with 143-bed capacity consisting of 17 private rooms, 16 semi-private rooms, and 110 ward beds.

Built in accordance with Department of Health standards for Level II hospitals, the PPHC features modern medical technology and advanced diagnostic equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scan units, endoscopy systems, and mammogram equipment.

The hospital also offers a range of clinical services, including Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYNE), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), alongside ancillary services such as radiology, laboratory, pulmonary, cardiovascular, dental, and dietary services.

According to the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, the hospital also has an ongoing application for accreditation as a Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) facility.

YAKAP is a comprehensive, free primary care benefit package for all members and dependents, covering consultations, selected laboratory tests, cancer screenings, and essential medicines at no cost.

During the visit, the President toured the hospital facilities, including the operation room and intensive care units (ICU), and was briefed by PPHC’s surgeon, Dr. Filfernan Malto.

Situated at Changi Gateway, Clark Global City, the PPCH is expected to serve not only the residents of Pampanga but also over 151,500 employees, business locators, and investors within the Clark Freeport Zone.

Once fully operational, the PPHC is expected to generate approximately 401 employment opportunities for Kapampangans.
