Former Integrated Bar of the Philippines president Atty. Egon Cayosa said Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa cannot be protected from arrest inside Senate premises if authorities present a valid arrest warrant.
Cayosa explained that lawmakers are only immune from arrest during Senate sessions if the offense carries a penalty of six years or less, which he said does not apply to Dela Rosa’s case.
