100 days of promises kept: Yamsuan bares initial set of accomplishments

On the eve of reaching his first 100 days as Parañaque 2nd District Representative, Brian Raymund Yamsuan launched his flagship healthcare program, the Botika On Wheels—a fulfilled campaign pledge of making essential medicines and medical equipment free and accessible to constituents under his care.

The Botika On Wheels will rove around the eight barangays of the city’s Second District. The rolling pharmacy includes not only medications for common communicable diseases and other ailments such as hypertension and diabetes, but medical equipment like nebulizers, blood pressure monitors and wheelchairs.

This initiative will be complemented by Yamsuan’s PADALA program of delivering health essentials right to the doorsteps of Second District Parañaqueños who find it difficult to wait for the Botika On Wheels to visit their barangay.

“Kasama po dito ang ating mga senior citizens at mga persons with disabilities. Sisikapin kong maglaan ng oras para ako po mismo ang dadalaw at magdadala sa kanilang mga tahanan ng mga pangangailangang medikal at pangkalusugan,” Yamsuan said as he marked his first 100 days in office on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

The Botika On Wheels is just among Yamsuan’s long list of accomplishments in his first 100 days as first-term representative of the district in the 20th Congress.

His accomplishments aim to carry out his H.O.P.E. agenda, which focuses on Health, Opportunities and jobs, Peace and order, and Education.

“Alam natin na sa panahon ngayon, maraming hamon sa ating gobyerno. Mayroong mga isyung lumalabas, may mga taong nawawalan ng tiwala. Sa gitna ng lahat ng ito, nakatuon lang tayo at tuloy-tuloy sa ating mga gawain para mapagaan ang buhay ng mga kababayan natin,” Yamsuan said.

“If we always choose kindness and compassion, we can accomplish much more to help our fellow Filipinos elevate the quality of their lives, starting in our own districts,” he added.

In Congress, Yamsuan focused on quality over quantity in filing bills relevant to realizing his HOPE agenda. In his first 100 days, Yamsuan has proposed 31 bills which aim to, among others, provide free annual medical checkups for all Filipinos, and grant stipends and free school supplies to students, especially those enrolled in public schools.

To strengthen the government’s peace and order programs, Yamsuan has filed measures which seek to modernize the crime investigation techniques of law enforcers and mandate the installation of CCTVs in commercial establishments.

Yamsuan has also asked Congress to pass laws that would institutionalize the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)’s Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) to fulfill his twin goals of promoting entrepreneurship and opening opportunities for Filipinos to improve their lives.

A total of 28,000 residents of the city’s second district have benefited from Yamsuan’s initiatives to bring government support closer to the people in his first 100 days as district congressman.

Yamsuan brought the SLP, rebranded as the Dagdag Puhunan; and the Government Internship Program, repackaged as the Jobs and Uptraining for the Modern Pinoy (JUMP), to his district.

He has also facilitated the grant of DOLE’s emergency employment program, the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) to 1,100 beneficiaries during his first 100 days in office.

Yamsuan’s Bigay Negosyo or the DILP has yielded 742 beneficiaries of food carts and rice reselling packages in his first 100 days.

He has been implementing Bigay Negosyo and Dagdag Puhunan even before being elected as congressman of Parañaque’s Second District.

A total of 4,000 beneficiaries have received financial aid under Yamsuan’s Bigay Ayuda sa Nakababata or BAON program, and the Maginhawang Buhay Program. Prior to his term as district representative, BAON has already been providing educational aid of P5,000 and P10,000 each to qualified students in the elementary, high school and college levels.

Yamsuan has also distributed 11,675 HOPE Cards so far in his first 100 days. These cards aim to facilitate the speedy and efficient delivery of aid to Parañaque’s Second District residents.

He has also continued his pre-campaign Extra Rice Program, and his Yam Meals food truck, which goes around the district to distribute hot meals of lugaw with egg to residents.

“For the next 100 days and until the end of my first term, patuloy nating isusulong at ipapatupad ang mga programang magpapagaan sa buhay ng mga Parañaqueño,” Yamsuan said.
