Flag carrier Philippine Airlines, in coordination with the Lucio Tan Group, government agencies and private sector partners, has airlifted a total of close to 20 tons of humanitarian cargo composed of donations for the affected residents of quake-hit Cebu.
The Lucio Tan Group and Asia Brewery Corporation donated 3,000 three-liter water containers totaling 19 tons, while the Philippine Red Cross donated quick response (hygiene kits), and psychosocial kits totaling 654 kilos (0.654 tons).
The PAL Foundation, Inc. – the corporate social responsibility arm of PAL – facilitated the orderly transport of humanitarian cargo in coordination with PAL Cargo teams in Manila and Cebu.
PAL will continue to extend urgent assistance to fellow Filipinos affected by the recent quake. These efforts will be undertaken within the capabilities of our available aircraft, as we carry out humanitarian missions alongside our regular flight schedules.
PAL stands in solidarity with the people of Cebu during this challenging period and remains steadfast in its commitment to providing support where it is needed most.
