Qatar favors 500 USD salary for domestic workers

 

Philippines local Private Recruitment Agency deploying Household Service Workers announced recently that a Foreign Recruitment Agency in Qatar has complied with DMW salary increase for Filipino domestic workers,

In it’s Facebook Page LRC ManPower Services Internationale, Inc. posted the message from the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Qatar has recognized Al Tamayouz Manpower as the first Qatar Recruitment Agency (QRA) to comply with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 03, Series of 2025, which raised the minimum monthly salary of Filipino domestic workers to USD 500.00 (QAR 1,825.00) or P 29,000 pesos.

This means beneficiaries of our Domestic Workers will have additional funds to cope with the rising prices of food, groceries, utility expenses, educational allowances and other miscellaneous expenses according to migrant expert Emmanuel S. Geslani.

Labor Attache Ferrer commended the agency for its commitment to improving the welfare of Filipino domestic workers, stating that “𝙈𝙒𝙊 𝙌𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙧 𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙮’𝙨 𝙙𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙪𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙙𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙮𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩.”

Under MC No. 03, Series of 2025, foreign principals and employers who comply with the salary adjustment are granted several incentives, including 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞) 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 for accreditation, registration, and re-accreditation; 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐌𝐖 𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 for skills matching and recruitment; and 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬.

The memorandum circular also provides a six-month transitory period for employers to voluntarily and gradually adjust the salaries of their Filipino domestic workers before a performance audit is conducted to assess overall compliance
