The president of the Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) of Las Pinas City on Wednesday thanked President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for the Socio-Civic Projects Fund (SCPF) distributed by the government, saying it has had a significant impact in helping each barangay in every city nationwide.
“Malaking bagay iyan! Dahil dito makakatulong ito,” said Jose Mauricio Agustin Riguera, Las Piñas ABC president, during the rollout of the” Bawat Bayan Makikinabang” program held at the Aguilar Sports Complex, Silicon Street, Barangay Pilar, Las Piñas City
Riguera thanked President Marcos for the help, which he said is the first of its kind in the city.
“Well, of course, kami ay nagpapasalamat.
All the 20 barangays in Las Pinas City received PhP200,000 each, Riguera said.
Half of the amount is allotted to the Presidential Scholars in each barangay, or PhP20,000 per scholar.
Riguera said the other half, or PhP100,000 for each barangay, will be used as funds for priority projects in the city.
These projects will mostly cover the costs of procuring computers for the barangays, which Riguera said will be used to improve the delivery of their services.
“Itong bibigay ni President Bongbong Marcos malaking tulong talaga. This is the first time na ginawa ito.
