ACT-CIS Partylist Representative Erwin Tulfo paid a courtesy visit to Las Piñas City officials on Tuesday, February 18, where he was warmly welcomed by Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar. The visit highlighted the long-standing relationship between Rep. Tulfo and the Aguilar family, as well as his continuous commitment to supporting the people of Las Piñas.
Vice Mayor April Aguilar emphasized the deep-rooted connection between Rep. Tulfo and the Aguilar family, recalling how her late father, former Mayor Nene Aguilar, considered Tulfo a trusted ally since his early days as a reporter for the Manila Times. She expressed her gratitude for his unwavering support over the years, especially during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when he extended much-needed aid to the city. She highlighted how Tulfo has been treated as part of their family, with both Mayor Imelda Aguilar and herself consistently backing his endeavors in public service.
In response, Rep. Tulfo reflected on his friendship with former Mayor Nene Aguilar, which began in the early 1990s, and his enduring respect for the Aguilar family. He praised the legacy of service left by Mayor Nene, acknowledging the positive impact he had on Las Piñas and the community’s continued trust in the Aguilar leadership. True to his advocacy of “Kakampi ng inaapi”, Tulfo reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Aguilar family and the people of Las Piñas.
The event was preceded by a motorcade around Las Piñas, joined by Alelee Aguilar, which served as an opportunity for leaders to connect with residents and highlight ongoing public service efforts
