Senator Christopher “Bong” Go continues to champion education and skills development through his steadfast support to the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) programs in partnership with the Call Center Academy in helping to open doors for employment opportunities for Filipinos.
During the graduation ceremony of 125 scholars held at Barangay Babag Gym in Cebu City on Thursday, June 19, Go, through his Malasakit Team, reaffirmed his commitment to supporting technical-vocational education as a means of uplifting lives and fostering inclusive economic growth.
“Education and skills training provide a pathway to success, especially in industries like the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector where demand for skilled professionals continues to grow,” Go said in his video message.
The scholars received food packs, snacks, shirts, and basketballs and volleyballs from Senator Go’s Malasakit Team.
He then expressed his gratitude to TESDA and its partner institutions for their continuous efforts in equipping scholars with the necessary competencies to secure stable jobs.
As part of his commitment to strengthening technical and vocational education, Go has filed Senate Bill No. 2115, which seeks to institutionalize Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and livelihood programs, particularly for rehabilitated drug dependents. This measure aims to equip individuals with valuable skills to improve their employment prospects and reintegrate into society productively.
Through his unwavering support for TESDA and other educational initiatives, Senator Go continues to pave the way for more Filipinos to gain access to quality training and employment opportunities, ensuring a brighter and more prosperous future for all.
