The city government of Las Piñas was cited by the Department of Health (DOH) – Metro Manila Center for Health Development (MMCHD) for high quality of services in health.
The city government was recognized for its outstanding financial compliance in efficiently utilizing DOH’s funding and its prompt and correct liquidation.
The city was also awarded with a plaque of appreciation for its support on different healthcare programs providing equitable access to quality and affordable health care services in accordance with universal health care.
The awarding and recognition of cities with high quality of health service was held at the Manila Hotel on Oct. 14 during the 35th Anniversary of the DOH-MMCHD.
Aside from the two awards received by the government, a check worth P150,000 was also awarded which can be use by the city as an additional funding on health services and projects for the Las Piñeros.
Vice-Mayor April Aguilar was happy to the two recognitions accorded to the city government. She also said that the recognition given by the DOH-MMCHD is an inspiration for city government to improve or do better the health services for the residents.
Vice-Mayor Aguilar added that improving health services is part of Mayor Imelda Aguilar’s “Tuloy ang Tapat at Progresibong Serbisyo.
