Philippine Airlines inaugurates new Manila-Cauayan route

Philippine Airlines (PAL) successfully launched its new Manila-Cauayan-Manila service
today, with the inaugural service departing Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA)
at 1:25 PM. PR 2018, operated with an 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next
Generation aircraft, is expected to arrive at Cauayan Airport at 2:30 PM.

The flag carrier celebrated the inaugural flight with a send-off ceremony at Manila’s
NAIA Terminal 2, attended by various local government officials and aviation
stakeholders.

The new PAL service offers daily flights for the convenience of traveling tourists,
businessmen and families. Replacing a land trip of more than 10 hours from Manila,
the flights promote Cauayan as gateway to Isabela province, known for its festivals,
including the annual Bambanti and Gawagaway-yan events.

“We are pleased to introduce our new Manila-Cauayan-Manila route to serve the
residents of Isabela province,” said PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang. “At
Philippine Airlines, we are happy to be part of a story of economic progress in Northern
Luzon and look forward to working with our partners and stakeholders in the local
government and community, in the continuing task of building up tourism, business
growth and greater connectivity for the benefit of all Filipinos.”

“Cauayan City is a jump point of tourism in the Northern East of the Philippines. By
opening this new route, we are also expecting the economic growth that it will bring to
our city and our province,” Cauayan City Mayor Hon. Caesar “Jaycee” Dy, Jr. said.

Travelers may book their flights online via www.philippineairlines.com, the PAL mobile
app, the PAL Hotline at (+632) 8855-8888, or their preferred ticketing offices or travel
agents.
