Former Senate President Tito Sotto hits the plan of the new Senate Blue Ribbon Committee to create a sub-committee that will continue the investigation into alleged flood control project anomalies.
This came after Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano announced that the hearing would resume on Thursday, while Senator Rodante Marcoleta is set to issue notices on Monday.
According to Sotto, the creation of a sub-committee would not be legal if it was not done through the plenary.
“Paano mag-create ng sub-comm na hindi sa plenary ginawa? Not legal,” Sotto said.
He added that the move should first be taken up in the plenary on Monday for the process to become legal.
