Camarines Sur Rep. LRay Villafuerte appealed to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Transportation Sec. Vince Dizon to defer the plan to move all commercial turboprop aircraft operations from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to the Clark International Airport (CIA).
Villafuerte said the proposal might hurt domestic tourism since budget carriers of leading airlines Cebu Pacific Air (CebuPac) and Philippine Airlines (PAL) are using propeller-driven small planes in bringing passengers to small airports.
