Infamous YouTuber Vitaly Zdorovetskiy was returned to the mo Bureau of Immigration (BI) holding facility on June 18 after posting a bail for his court case.
It can be recalled that last June 11, Zdorovetskiy was turned over to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology’s (BJMP) facility in Taguig for custody as he faces local cases, including unjust vexation, filed before the Regional Trial Court (RTC) branch 153 in Taguig City.
However, BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado was informed that Zdorovetskiy was able to post bail for the said RTC case, prompting his return to the BI wardens facility (BIWF) inside Camp Bagong Diwa.
“Because he faces a deportation case, even if he files for bail for his local cases, he will still be returned to the custody of the BI,” said Viado. “He will not be allowed to roam around as he is already seen as an undesirable alien,” he added.
Viado clarified that while Zdorovetskiy has an ongoing deportation case, he will not be deported until his local cases are resolved and he serves the sentence given to him, if any.
“Justice will be served to the fullest extent,” said Viado. “Foreign guests are expected to follow the law during their stay in the Philippines. We will not allow them to abuse our hospitality and disrespect our people and our country,” he added.
Zdorovetskiy will remain in the BI’s facility until required to face court.
