Friday Night Repairs on EDSA-Magallanes Flyover

A portion of the EDSA-Magallanes flyover southbound lane will undergo more repairs starting Friday night, the Department of Public Works and Highways said.

In a social media post, the DPWH-National Capital Region (NCR) said the repairs, which begins at 10 p.m., are on the left lane of the flyover which will be temporarily closed. The southbound lane’s right side will remain open to traffic.

The public is encouraged to follow traffic signs and on-site advisories for smoother traffic flow while repair works are underway.

The works are expected to be completed on Monday at 5 a.m.

The weekend repairs is part of the EDSA rehabilitation works of the DPWH.

Meanwhile, DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon said the construction of the additional lane along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Morera, Guinobatan, Albay will start soon.

The project will begin as soon as the right-of-way issues in the area has been resolved by the local government unit.

“Gov. (Noel Rosal) committed that he would fix the right-of-way (problem). We will expedite the construction. So, our RD (Regional Director), has coordinated with the Gov,” he said during his inspection of the Maharlika Highway in Guinobatan, Albay on Thursday.
