Representative Brian Raymund Yamsuan remains the Number One choice of voters to represent Parañaque’s Second District in the next Congress with an overwhelming lead of about 50,000 votes over his closest rival, based on the results of the latest survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS).
Conducted from April 10 to 14, 2025, the SWS survey showed Yamsuan garnering a substantial 54 percent of the votes in Parañaque’s Second District.
His rival, incumbent congressman Gus Tambunting, was the choice of only 31 percent of voters.
This means that frontrunner Yamsuan has a stunning 23 percent lead, which is equivalent to about 50,000 votes over Tambunting.
The April 2025 survey also showed Yamsuan dominating over Tambunting across all of Parañaque’s District Two barangays.
Yamsuan is the choice of 52 percent of voters in Barangay BF Homes; by 47 percent of voters in San Antonio; and by 68 percent in Marcelo Green.
He is also leading in Sun Valley with a 58 percent preferring him over Tambunting, and in Don Bosco with a 45 percent voter preference share.
Yamsuan also got 69 percent of the votes in Merville; 53 percent in Moonwalk; and 57 percent in San Martin de Porres.
An independent candidate, Yamsuan steadily increased his voters’ preference share over a seven-month period. From September 2024 before the filing of the certificates of candidacy for the midterm elections when he was the choice of 38 percent of the voters, this increased to 51 percent in November 2024 and to 54 percent in April 2025.
On the other hand, Tambunting’s voter preference share progressively dwindled from 44 percent in September 2024 to 38 percent in November 2o24 and 31 percent in April this year.###
